On Friday, May 16, 2025, Graduate Students from Princeton University’s Molecular Biology Outreach Program (MBOP) visited FES to teach the students how to make ice cream with science! Students mixed together ice and salt to initiate a chemical process called “Freezing Point Depression,” which allows water to remain a liquid at below freezing temperatures. Using this chemical reaction, the students froze all of the ingredients needed to make ice cream! The students had a blast!
